2005 Spring Fellowship Minutes

  • The meeting was called to order by Lodge Chief Adam Lutterloh.  

  • The meeting was opened by the obligation of our order.

  • The minutes were read. There was a motion to accept the minutes. The motion was seconded and passed   

  • Robbie Miller reported we have $6,486.62 in checking and $24,470.36 in savings.

  Committee Reports

  • Activities- John Davis reported that activities went well this weekend and everyone had fun.  

  • Ceremonies- Matthew McAnulty reported they had a successful brotherhood ceremony and they look forward to competing and winning at Dixie.  

  • Cook Team- Clint Smith reported that there was a lot of help in the kitchen and the food was good.  

  • Dance Team- Brian Manuel reported that they will have a dress rehearsal the Wednesday before Dixie at the LDS church in Lincolnton.

  • Drum Team- No report.

  • Service- Jay McKinney reported on the new Leadership in Service Award.  

  • Camp Promotions- John Davis reported that camp is being promoted quite well and the “Where to Go Camping Guide” was handed out at the Camp Promotions dinner.

  • Membership Development- Adam Lutterloh reported that there were 10 members to obtain their brotherhood this weekend.   

  • Training- Jeff Rasmussen reported that he would like to thank all the trainers and trainees that participated this weekend.  He would like to remind all chairmen that they are expected to have a booth at all ordeals for the bazaar.  

  • Communications- Tyson Badders reported that the March Elogam was mailed this week and is also available online. The next Elogam is scheduled to be given out May 1.

  • Unit Elections- No report.

Chapter Reports

  • Allowelendam- Daniel Thompson reported that they won quest this weekend and they had 13 brothers at their meeting on Tuesday.

  • Apatschin Tschitani- John Davis reported that they are in the process of unit elections in their district. They are currently holding meetings the 2nd Thursday of every month in the Troop 132 scout hut.

  • Battleground- Will Garwood reported that they meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Troop 101’s scout hut at 7. They had 32 candidates called out at their Spring Camporee.

  • Gemstone- No report.

  • Heartland- Joe Slade reported that the chapter is trying to build itself up.   

  • Lowaneu Watchseu- No Report

  • Occonluftee- Tyson Badders reported that the chapter meets the 1st Thursday of every month at First United Methodist Church in Conover. They are preparing for our third consecutive Chapter of the Year Award.

  • Tsungani- Joe Story reported that they meet the third Thursday of every month.  They had 14 brothers at their last meeting and their next meeting will consist of participating in shooting sports and tomahawk throwing.  They are joining up with the Swamp Fox chapter to conduct a spring camporee and callout ceremony.

  • Swamp fox- Jay McKinney reported that they had 4 members become brotherhood this weekend.   

 Old Business

  • Peter McAnulty reported on spirit items that will be used at Dixie.

  • Jimmy Arthurs spoke on the ordering of the Dixie Delegate flaps.

 New Business 

  • Joe Story talked about of getting new outfits for the summer camp pageant.

  • Jeff Rasmussen proposed an amendment to change the lodge Bylaws to include a committee called the Camp Relations Committee.  As such the motion will have to be published and voted upon at a later date

  • Robbie Miller proposed an amendment to change the lodge Bylaws to include a standing committee for CIS.  

  • Adam Lutterloh made comments on the Brotherhood Service Award, the new Vigil Nomination form, and the Leadership in Service Award.

  • Joe Slade commented on the events that happened so far in the first half of the lodge year.

  • Jeff Rasmussen made a motion to adjourn; the motion was seconded and passed.

  • The meeting was closed with the OA song.
