2004 Lodge Leadership Development Minutes

  • The meeting was called to order by Lodge Chief Adam Lutterloh.  

  • The meeting was opened by the obligation of our order.

  • The minutes were read. There was a motion to accept the minutes. The motion was seconded and passed   

  • The treasurer adviser reported we have $2,450.00 in checking and $24,982.04 in savings.

  Committee Reports

  • Activities- Taber Hyde reported that activities plans to have a good year. They expect to have a lot of attendance.

  • Ceremonies- Matthew McAnulty reported that they are expecting next year will be great for the team and they plan to meet all of their goals.

  • Cook Team- No report.

  • Dance Team- Ken Manuel reported that Wednesday, November 10 will be their first meeting at the LDS church in Lincolnton. They will be dancing Old Style this year and Logan Johnston is the new Dance team chairman. If you have any questions contact Ken.

  • Drum Team- Ken Manuel reported that the new Dance team chairman is Nathan Culberson and his advisor is Robert White.    

  • Service- Jay McKinney reported that they encourage individual service projects in each chapter and that the Leadership and Service Award will be starting in 2005.

  • Camp Promotions- John Davis reported that they hope to have a good year.

  • Membership Development- Peter Rowe reported that they hope to get new committee members that will serve each chapter and they hope to expand the brotherhood conversion rate.  

  • Training- No Report.

  • Communications- Tyson Badders reported that the deadline to submit reports for the next Elogam is December 18.  The Elogam will be mailed shortly after that and the pre-order Dixie forms are going to be included and should be submitted by January 15.

  • Unit Elections- No report.

Chapter Reports

  • Allowelendam- No report.  

  • Apatschin Tschitani- John Davis reported that they are going to hold a Christmas party on December 9. They are currently holding meetings the 2nd Thursday of every month.

  • Battleground- Jeff Tallent reported that the Battleground Chapter meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month in Troop 101’s scout complex at 7.

  • Gemstone- No report.

  • Heartland- No report.  

  • Lowaneu Watchseu- No Report

  • Occonluftee- Tyson Badders reported that the chapter meets the 1st Thursday of every month at First United Methodist Church in Conover.

  • Tsungani- No report.

  • Swamp fox- Jay McKinney reported that the chapter is in the planning stages of their service project and that the Swap fox unit elections will start in February.  

 Old Business

  • Adam Lutterloh reported on Arrowtech and that 6 youth and 3 adults attended.  

  • Adam Lutterloh reported that the Chapter of the Year petitions were only turned in by 1 chapter and he is allowing a 1 week grace period for other chapter to turn it in.

 New Business 

  • Justin Perry moved to approve the budget that was submitted at LLDC. The motion was seconded and passed.

  • Jeff Rasmussen moved that the ordeal that was supposed to be held on May 6-8 be moved to April 8-10 if allowed by the council. The motion was tabled until Winter Banquet.

  • Justin Perry moved to approve the calendar that was submitted at LLDC.  The motion was seconded and passed.

  • Peter Rowe moved to create a new standard issue flap which would be the previous S-22 with the named changes. The motion was seconded and passed.

  • Joe Slade made a few announcements.

  • Justin Perry made a motion to adjourn; the motion was seconded and passed.
