2003 August Ordeal Minutes

• The meting was called to order by Lodge Chief Thomas White
• The meeting was opened by the obligation of our order
• The minutes were read. A motion was made to correct
• Treasurers report we have $5,518.52 in checking and $24,253.87 in savings

  Committee Reports

• Activities- Brandon Costner reported that all activities went well. Hope to see everyone at Fall Fellowship
• Ceremonies- Peter McAnulty reported that we had three successful ceremonies this weekend
• Cook Team- Thomas reported that the team did a great job this weekend
• Dance Team- Brian Manuel reported that we will be starting after Fall Fellowship
• Drum Team- Thomas White reported that drum will be starting after Fall Fellowship
• Service- Curtis Bradley reported that projects was successful. He also thanked all members for their hard work and wishes a good year for the on coming chairmen
• Camp Promotions- No Report
• Membership Development- Jeff Rassmusen reported that the lodge welcomes all new brothers and brotherhood members.
• Training- Daniel Thompson reported that if you are interested in running a training event at Fall Fellowship, please see Daniel Thompson
• Communications- Kenneth Pekarek reported that the Elogam will be coming out at Fall Fellowship
• Unit Elections- No Report

Chapter Reports

• Allowelendam- Daniel Thompson reported that we are the best
• Battleground- Curtis Bradley reported that we meet every 2nd Tuesday at the troop 101 scout hut
• Apatschin Tschitani- Justin Perry reported that the chapter had elections. He also reported that we meet every 3rd Thursday of every month. The chapter is excited about starting their new drum team.
• Gemstone- No Report
• Heartland- Adam Lutterloh reported that the chapter meet at the First United Methodist church in Lincolnton on the 1st Thursday of every month beginning September 4.
• Lowaneu Watchseu- No Report
• Occonluftee- Peter McAnulty reported that we meet the 1st Thursday of every month at the First United Methodist Church in Conover
• Tsungani- No Report

• Thomas White reported on the NLS candidates

 New Business 

• Jeff Rassmusen made a motion to allot half the patch auction money to NOAC cost and half to the OA campfire ring. The motion was seconded and passed
• Jeff Rassmusen made a motion to make a 40th Anniversary flap the motion was seconded and passed
• Jeff Rassmusen made a motion to change the dates of LLDC from Nov. 7-9 to Oct. 11 the motion was seconded and passed
• Adam Lutterloh reported about Founders Award
• Kenneth Pekarek made an announcement about making voting procedures on the Vigil and Founders Awards selection.
• Thomas White reported on the completion of the OA campfire ring
• Thomas White reported about Rendezvous
• Kenneth Pekarek congratulates all new members and reported that the website is a resourceful piece of information
• Thomas White made a few announcements
• Jeff Rassmusen made a motion to adjourn the motion was seconded and passed
• The meeting was closed with the OA song
