2002 Fall Fellowship Minutes

·        The meeting was called to order by Lodge Chief Thomas White

·        The meeting was opened with the Obligation of our Order

·        The minutes were read, a motion was made to approve the minutes, the motion was seconded and approved.

·        Treasurer's Report - We have $10,707.61 in checking, $23,501.81 in savings and $3,145.75 made in the patch auction.

Committee Reports

 

·        Activities—Brandon Costner reported that new activities will be great for the new year. Please send any and all ideas to Brandon Costner.                        

·        Ceremonies—Reported that Saturday's ceremonies were successful, congrats to the new brother members. 

·        Cook Team—Justin Perry reported that he hopes everyone enjoyed the food and we are always looking for new members. Send questions to Justin Perry or David Guynn

·        Dance Team—Brian Manuel reported that we are going to have a great year, always looking for new members. Please contact Brian Manuel to get started.

·        Drum Team—Brendan Haney reported that we are starting a new southern drum. Anyone who is interested contact Joe Haney.                                                     

·        Service—Curtis Bradley reported that service was great this past year and hopes to see everyone next year.           

·        Camp Promotions--No Report?

·        Membership Development—Ben Cook reported that we had a great weekend, congrats to the five new brother members.                              

·        Training—Daniel Thompson reported that we had a great weekend. LLDC coming up on Oct 25-27 will be held at the Belk Training Center. For more information contact Daniel Thompson.

·        Communications—No Report?

·        Unit Elections—No Report?

 

Chapter Reports

 

·        Allowelendam—Jeff Rassmussen reported that we meet 3rd Tue of the month at the First Presbyterian in Gastonia. Congrats to the new brother members.

·        Apatschin Tschitani—Justin Perry reported that we meet 2nd Thursday of the month at First Baptist in Rutherfordton

·        Battleground—Curtis Bradley reported that we meet in Shelby the third Thursday of the month at First Baptist.

·        Gemstone—Andy Harsey reported we had a good weekend building our cart. We will meet at Troop 166 scouthut in Mooresville at 6:30 every 3rd Wednesday of the month.

·        Heartland—No Report?

·        Lowaneu Watchseu—No Report?

·        Occonoluftee--No Report?

·        Tsungani—Patrick Hefner reported that we meet 3rd Thursday of each month at First Baptist in Morganton at 7:00. We meet at Givannis Pizza for the next meeting. We assisted Table Rock with their booth at the Morganton Festival, and also at our last meeting made final preparations for the race

 

Old Business

 

·        Adam Lutterloh—Reported that Hawaiian Ice was canceled due to the cold weather.

·        Jeff Whisenant—Reported that CIS will be held at Mitchell Community College on the weekend after the MLK holiday. The cost will be moving up along with some other charges.

·        Ken Manuel—Reported that the Dance Team buckles have been sent to the engraver to be approved.

·        Ed de Torres—Reported that we have one camp sign and are getting the others, the new signs will be put up at LLDC.

·        Kevin Gantt—Reported that we did not complete our goal of $4,000 in the Patch Auction but made over $3,000 to help with the Cub Scout bridge.

·        Allen Thompson—Reported that the OA Food Drive never stops.

 

New Business

 

·        Kenneth Pekarek—Made a motion for the lodge to pay 50% of the Arrowtech fee to help pay for the executive committee. The motion was seconded and passed

·        Allen Thompson—Reported about the idea of building a new storage building that will connect to the well house on the main side of camp behind the dining hall, he also presented a set of plans drawn by Steve Barlowe for the OA storage building.

·        Joe Slade—Reported that we collected $63 from the church service that will aid in the Maury Clancy Indian Camper ship Fund. He also reported that Founder Award nominations need to be turned in.

·        Adam Lutterloh—Congratulated the following new Vigil members: Bobby Quick, Jeff Rassmussen, Brendan Haney, Kevin Shook, Boyd McNeely, Brian Bereatt, and Zack Queen.

·        Patrick Hefner—Made a motion for the lodge to match church service money. The motion was seconded and passed.

·        Ed de Torres—Reported that the Nabby committee will meet at LLDC. He also reported that Service Arrowmen Awards needs to be turned in.

·        Joe Slade—Reported that the dates need to be set for the final 2003 calendar. He also reported that the committee chairs need to prepare their budget needs for the 2003-year.

·        Kevin Gantt—Made a request that the communication committee not forget those with out Internet access and to maintain normal printed communications

·        Adam Lutterloh--Made the motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded and passed.

·        A few closing comments were made.

·        The Meeting was closed with the OA song.
