Activities - A notice will be sent out to as to where
Winter Banquet will be. If you have
ideas contact Kevin Gantt or Brian Manual.

Ceremonies - The teams have been chosen and will begin
practicing at CIS, where we will be teaching a class.

Cook Team - no report

Dance Team - The dance team is meeting every Wednesday
at 7:30 at the LDS church in Lincolnton. We are building outfits in preparation
for Dixie and we still could use more members. If you would like to join, call
Robert White at (704) 663-0719.

Drum Team - The drum team will be selected by CIS. If you are interested contact Brian Barrett.

Service - There will be a can food drive. Each chapter will turn in a box of cans with
the chapter name on it. The cans will
be turned in at Winter Banquet and the chapter with the most cans will be
recognized with an award.

Camp Promotions - no report

Communications - The road is still there. The Elogam is almost done. Expect a new Elogam in November. The second issue sometime in February. Don’t hesitate to send me pictures or

Training - If you are interested in joining the

Allowelendam - We meet the third Tuesday of every month. This month we will be bowling at AMF bowling
lanes in Gastonia at 7:30.

Apatschin Tschitani - We meet at the First Baptist
Church in Rutherfordton at 6:30. We
just finished a very successful camporee. We have been discussing using the funds that we are proposing to get our
chapter started. We are also planning
to have our own ceremonies and drum team in the chapter.

Gemstone - We’re off and running. We had our chapter elections two weeks
ago. Ray Leatherman was elected as
Chapter Chief, Thomas White and Vice Chief and Robert White as
Secretary/Treasurer. We meet at 6
o’clock on the third Wednesday of the month at the Troop 166 Scout Hut in
Mooresville. If you have any questions

Old
Business
-
Thomas White moved that determine the Chapter of the
Year requirements now. The motion was
seconded. Discussion was made that the
new requirements will start next year. It was made known that we have requirements, but they are out of
date. Mr. White amended his motion to
read, We will find the requirements and the key three will decided on it. The amendment was seconded. Discussion about the amendment. Kenneth Pekarek requested that we use the
old requirements this year, and look in to a new possibility for next
year. The amendment passed. We will look into changes at Winter
Banquet. Old requirements will be sent
to chapters and e-board. The motion
passed.

The council has given approval for our proposed road
signs. Bob Jenkins will talk to High
Department about getting and placing signs.

The new standard issue flap was cleaned up and will be
available at Winter Banquet.

We found a new bus line, which will save us $1900. This means we have money left over for the
sell of patches.

Kenneth Pekarek made a motion which said, Funds from
the patch auction and 25th anniversary flaps sells will be used for
transportation to Dixie and NOAC. The
motion was seconded. Mr. Slade stated
that we will lower the NOAC fee by $100. We should take a bus to Dixie, and split the money between the two. The motion passed.

Thomas White moved that Winter Banquet shall be held at
St. Peters Lutheran Church in Conover. The motion was seconded.
Mark
Gantt has found a caterer. The motion
passed.

Thomas White moved that the cost of Winter Banquet not
exceed $12. Chicken Cordon Blue was
first choice. Other varieties of drinks
will be provided, perhaps lemonade.

Mr. Slade stated that we turned the Red Cross money of
$110 into $440, and it was sent off.

Business

John Garwood spoke about One Day of Service which will
be held on November 17. There was
discussion on how we should do it, when and where. After discussing Kenneth Pekarek moved that each chapter shall
hold its day of service on the first weekend in December. The motion was seconded and passed.

Thomas White moved that the Lodge Theme for the
upcoming year be “Hawaii 560”. The
motion was seconded. There will be
theme event patches for Spring Fellowship, Fall Fellowship, Beaver Day, Winter
Banquet and one for Elangomats and Nimats. Patch designs will be brought to Winter Banquet, where there will be a
vote. Thomas amended his motion to read
that the Lodge Theme for the upcoming year be “Hawaii 560” and patch designs
will be brought and voted on at Winter Banquet. The motion was passed.

The lodge voted on the Founders Award recipients.

The lodge reviewed the budget. Daniel Thompson moved to accept the
budget. The motion was seconded and
passed.

It
came to the Lodges attention that the current Lodge
webmaster needs to pass on the control of the webpage. Thomas White moved that we assign the duties
of the web-page and the control list serve to the Lodge Secretary. The motion was seconded and passed.

Adam Lutterloh moved that we table motion to table the
2003 Lodge Calendar till Winter Banquet. The motion was seconded and passed.

Lodge Chief John Garwood spoke about our Quality Lodge
Petition. He said we need to give $1000
to the council endowment fund. It was
brought to the Lodges attention that we have already done so.

It was brought to the Lodges attention that if we
donate $1000 in honor of someone, that lodge member will get the James E. West Award.

The Cook Team proposed an idea. To build chapter unity, the Cook Team would
like to provide food, and let the chapters cook it themselves. The idea was made that we could do this at a
luau at Spring or Fall Fellowship. The
idea was discussed in more detail. The
idea was made for chapter rotation in the dining hall to cook meals.

John Garwood said, to get quality lodge we need to have
75% attendance at the Lodge LLDC. We
need 14 out of 18 members to go through LLDC. It was decided that we will have a LLDC on December 8 in Hickory.
Upcoming events:

Dixie Fellowship
and NOAC are coming up. If you are
interested, you need to register. We
need to fill the bus.

This is the last year of the OA trail crew at
Philmont.
-
We can take 100 people to Dixie Fellowship, we should try
to take that many.
