  • The meeting was opened with the Obligation of our Order.

Committee Reports
  • Activities - No report.
  • Camp Promotions - We trained people on February 3 at First United Methodist Church in Hickory. There were about 200 people at the Scoutmasters’ Dinner.
  • Ceremonies - We practiced, did well, had fun, hope to do well at Dixie.
  • Communications - The Elogam is 50 percent done, send info to Thomas if you would like the Elogam to become more than 50 the complete. Also, we will win at Dixie.
  • Cook Team - No report.
  • Dance Team - We’re going full steam ahead, we performed for a Troop and are ready for Dixie.
  • Membership Development - Curtis Bradley is the new chairman.
  • Service - There will be an additional work weekend scheduled for May 5 at camp so we can work on the OA fire ring.
  • Training - No report.
  • Unit Elections - Election results have already started coming in. Chapter chiefs and advisers are asked to help in any way possible to ensure good election results.
Chapter Reports
  • Allowellendam - We have accomplished a lot of things since the last lodge event. In November we went bowling, in December we went Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army, in January we had Steve Watts come and do a Cast Away talk, and in January we had a campout. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at First United Methodist church in Gastonia. On May 5 we will have a district-wide, Chapter-sponsored service day. At the end we will have a callout ceremony.
  • Battleground - No report.
  • Gemstone - We are off to a big year, compared to years past. We are working on a call-out ceremony. We really need to find a new place to meet because Dance Team doesn’t meet in Mooresville anymore.
  • Heartland - No report.
  • Loweneu Watchsheu - No report.
  • Occonoluftee - We meet on the first Thursday of the month at First United Methodist Church in Conover.
  • Thermal - No report.
  • Tsungani - We started Unit Elections in March.
Old Business
  • We had no Old Business.
New Business
  • There was a motion made to create a Far East Chapter. The motion was seconded. There was discussion made about the location of the chapter, and it was decided that it would be in Hamburg, Germany. There was a point brought up that to create a new chapter, the motion would have to go in the Elogam 10 days prior to the meeting, along with a 2/3 vote of all members present at the meeting. Thus, the motion was tabled.
  • There was a motion made to make a flap to use at Dixie. There was a second to the motion. After discussion, the vote passed. Subsequently, there was a Division of Assembly called by the Lodge Chief. The results of the Division of Assembly were 2 to 3, with the motion failing.
  • There was a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded and passed.
  • The meeting was closed with the song of our Order.

Respectfully submitted,

Adam Lutterloh
Lodge Secretary
