- The meeting was opened with the Obligation of our Order.
- The minutes were read from last meeting and approved as amended.
- Treasurer's report: we have $4,174 in checking and $20,921.45 in savings.
Committee Reports- Activities - Dixie is coming soon and we are having a meeting at Spring Fellowship to prepare for it.
- Camp Promotions - The Camp Promotions dinner went well. The Where to Go Camping book went well also.
- Ceremonies - We have all the principals signed up for Dixie and we are also having regular practices.
- Communications - If you want anything put in the Elogam, mail it to Thomas White. We are doing well.
- Cook Team - We are trying to get new members.
- Dance Team - We came to the camp on the Friday before Beaver Day, and we have 12 members signed up for Dixie and NOAC.
- Membership Development - We are printing our own Brother Orientation Guide this year. We have accomplished our goals, and we need help for the upcoming Ordeal season.
- Service - Beaver Day went well. We had in excess of 40 people. We ran out of service projects. This committee needs more members, so please join.
- Training - No report.
- Unit Elections - Forms have been sent to all Scoutmasters in the council. Please make yourselves available to help Troops with these elections. Also, encourage Troops who have not had elections in the past to reconsider.
Chapter Reports
- Allowellendam - We meet every third Tuesday of the month. We are working on Unit Elections.
- Battleground - John Garwood is the new chapter chief. We are making a fun calendar the year, and we are working on a tap-out team. Also, we meet every third Thursday of the month.
- Gemstone - We meet on the first Thursday of the month at Wesley Chapel in Statesville.
- Heartland - No Report
- Loweneu Watchsheu - We meet on the third Thursday of the month at Philadelphia Lutheran Church.
- Occonoluftee - We meet on the first Thursday of every month at First United Methodist Church in Conover.
- Thermal - No Report.
- Tsungani - We meet on the third Thursday of the month. We are putting together a tap-out ceremonies team for the Scout Show. We are also putting together a singing team.
Old Business- Carolinas' Indian Seminar was a success. Around 525 people attended, and 200 had to leave on Saturday due to snow. The National Chief came and he said it was good. We will probably have to have the seminar on the fourth weekend in January. It is possible that we will have a Website made to promote the seminar next year.
- Sixty-four have signed up for Dixie. We are missing medical forms. All money has been collected. We do have a waiting list.
New Business- There was a motion made to move the Brotherhood ceremony to before the Pre-Ordeal ceremony on Friday night at all Ordeals. The motion was seconded. There was discussion about when to do the testing and other things. A suggestion was made to perform the testing during Chapter meetings. The motion failed by a count of six to five.
- It was said that we should have to leave camp earlier at the end of events, about 12 noon on Sunday. We need to relay this message to all the chapters and to the new Ordeal candidates. This message will go in the Elogam.
- There was a motion made to make the NOAC pocket flap for delegates only. The motion was seconded and passed. The motion passed by a count of nine to five.
- There was a motion made to restrict the selling of the event patches to only one per person until the year is finished at Winter Banquet. There was discussion about being careful about the amount of patches we order.
- There will be a Dixie Fellowship contingent meeting at Spring Fellowship.
- There was a motion to have a survey given out before the church services at events to rate how the weekend went. The Activities Committee will handle this. There was a motion to amend the original motion that the surveys should be given out before breakfast and before the services. The amendment passed. The new motion was seconded and passed.
- Forty-eight people have registered for NOAC. We purchased 8 more youth slots. We need to relay the message about the available slots throughout the Lodge. Registration forms will be given out soon.
- There was a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded and passed.
- The meeting was closed with the song of our Order.
