2007 Spring Fellowship
Minutes
- Lodge Chief Jay McKinney called the meeting to order.
- The meeting was opened with the obligation of our order.
- Matthew McAnulty reported that we have 18,830.36 in checking and 26,991.00 in savings.
Committee Reports
- Activities- Amos London reported that there were some great competitions this weekend. He congratulated and awarded the winning chapters in the quest events.
- Ceremonies- Blake Badders reported that the Brotherhood ceremony this weekend was good and the team will be having at least one more practice before Dixie . Those who participated in the Brotherhood ceremony received a bead.
- Cook Team- Clint Smith reported that there was a good turnout in the kitchen and everything went well. If anyone has any comments good or bad please notify the team.
- Dance Team- Jackson Gantt reported that there are going to 14 dancers going to Dixie . The team is still meeting every Wednesday and are preparing for Dixie Domination. This weekend the team dyed feathers and they participated in Webelos Woods.
- Drum Team- Zac Carrigan reported the team has their songs for Dixie and if anyone is interested in still joining please see him or Joe Story.
- Camp Promotions- Tyler Eckard reported that the Camp Dinner went well and camp will happen.
- Training- Daniel Thompson reported that training went well this weekend and if there are any ideas about training cells then contact him or Bryan Mack. They also are in the process of making a general training item to given as an award for teaching a training cells. He also reported some suggested some potential training topics for Fall Fellowship. Daniel stated that Tyler Eckard will be doing the training for Dixie .
- Communications- Brian Badders reported that the current Elogamgussit is posted on the website and is on the way to brothers via the mail. Anyone with chapter reports or other articles should send them to Tyson Badders.
- Unit Elections- Phillip Pressley reported that all chapters should have received the information about chapter callouts. If you know of someone that has not yet received the information please contact him or Larson Harsey.
- Service- No Report
- Membership Development- Mark Gantt reported that there were nine brothers that became brotherhood this weekend and there were three Nimats. There were also 19 brothers that attended the Brotherhood information session.
Chapter Reports
- Kyle Hansen moved to assign the completion of the sign project to the Camp Promotions committee. There was some discussion. The motion was seconded and passed.
New Business
- Matthew McAnulty reported that anyone wanting to go to Dixie needed to turn in their medical forms immediately. There are still a few spaces left to go to Dixie and to see Jimmy Arthurs if they were interested. The registration at Dixie will open from 5pm until the opening show and will not reopen until after breakfast on Saturday. Gordon Brown stressed that updated medical forms were a necessity to attend Dixie and lodge events.
- Jay McKinney commented about NLS and the opportunity for brothers to attend this national training event.
- Joe Slade installed the new officers in the lodge which were Travis Walker as Staff Advisor and David Cody as Lodge Advisor. Jay McKinney stated that Kevin Gantt would be the new VCA advisor and Bryan Mack was going to be the new training advisor.
- Mason Thomas, the section secretary and member of Muscogee Lodge commented on ArrowCorps5 and the opportunity in 2008.
- Jackson Gantt moved that the lodge appropriate up to $600 for a chainsaw to be used by Ranger Patterson at camp. There was some discussion. The motion was seconded and passed.
- Justin Perry made a motion to adjourn; the motion was seconded and passed.
- The meeting was closed with the OA song.
