The Piedmont
Council will proudly conducted its’
fifth annual Merit
Merit Badge
University to be held at Tri City Baptist Church in Conover, NC on
Saturday, February 24, 2007. This combined training for Scouts
and Volunteer Leaders is once again co-sponsored by Piedmont Council
Training Team and Eswau Huppeday Order of the Arrow Lodge.
Nearly 1,000 Boy
Scouts had the opportunity to choose from 21 different merit
badges in 2006. Because of the excellent job of communicating
prerequisite requirements by the MBU Staff, many Merit Badges
were completed and earned as a result of the event.
We will be offering many of the same
interesting adult classes as last year. Due to popular
demand and limited space, we will need to register adult leaders
just as we register Scouts. We will be assigning adult
leaders to classes this year. Space is limited, so
register early.
The
Chancellor of this years Merit Badge University
is Bob Wright of the
Lakeland District.
