Information and Procedure
About:
The Order of the Arrow Unit Elections are performed in your troop
meeting are meant to generate the membership of the Order of the Arrow.
The Order of the Arrow is unique in that any scout in your troop under the
age of 21 can participate in the election--even the none members. To
attain a Unit Election please contact your chapter chief or advisor. Unit

Basic Youth
Election Process:
-
50% of your
active youth must be at the meeting where elections are being held.

Scouts under the
age of 21 may vote for all or none of the scouts eligible (or any
combination in between).

Scouts may not
turn in a ballot if they feel inclined.

The scouts are
elected if they receive 50% of the ballots turned in.

If no scout receives
50% after the first election then a second may be held. Voting ends at
least one scout receives 50% of the ballots or two elections have
failed.

A Troop may only
hold an election once a year.
