About:
Enjoy the gifts of nature surrounded by the remnants of a once mighty range of peaks. Upon first encounter, the Uwharrie Mountains may seem like a mountainous mirage. These steep, rugged hills—unusual topography for the area—form a stark contrast with the rolling countryside of the piedmont plateau.

Park fees:
Camping
Camping in non-electric sites: $15 per day, per site; $10 per day for senior citizens ages 62 and older. A picnic table and grill are located at the campsite. Water, restrooms and shower facilities are located nearby. A dump station for RVs is provided free of charge to campers. Electric sites are not available at this park.
Backpack campsites: $9 per day, per site. Pit toilets nearby.

Picnic shelter reservations
Four-table shelter: $40 per day
Six-table shelter: $60 per day
Ten-table shelter: $85 per day
Shelters are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis when they are not reserved. Restrooms nearby.
Rowboat and canoe rentals: $5 for the first hour and $3 each additional hour. Available daily from June through Labor Day and weekends in April, May, September and October.
Swimming pool: $4 per adult; $3 per child age 3-12. Open June through Labor Day. The facility includes restrooms, changing rooms and showers.
