Lumber River

About:
The Lumber River flows through the south-central portion of our state. And, the river's headwaters are in Montgomery, Moore and Scotland counties where the waterway is known as Drowning Creek. The creek becomes a river at SR 1412/1203 along the Scotland-Hoke county line, and its waters flow into South Carolina, eventually joining the Little Pee Dee River.

Park fees:
Camping
Family campsites: $9 per site, per day. Each site has a table, grill, lantern holder, trash can and fire pit. Camping permits required. 
Group campsites: $1 per person with an $9 minimum per site, per day. Each site accommodates up to 15 people. Each site includes two tables, a grill, lantern holder, trash can and fire pit. Reservations required. 

Picnic shelter reservations: $85 per day. Accommodates up to 100 people. Use of the shelter is free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis unless reservations are requested.
