Fall Fellowship
Race Rules:

Chapters must
provide:
-
1 victim
-
4-6 medics
-
1 first aid kit
(prepared to deal with broken bones, severe bleeding, and other
hurry cases.)

1 gurney
-
1 stretcher
-
helmets for
all team members
-
There is no
weight requirement for the victim
-
All
participants helping to build and race must be under 21
-
Each chapter’s
victim will have the same injuries
-
There will be a
points system to determine the winner
-
40 point
scale
i.
Proper first aid of injuries- 10 pts.
ii.
Winning the
race (speed)- 10 pts.
iii.
Safety of victim’s transport- 10 pts.
iv.
Construction
and functionality of gurney- 10 pts.

Stretcher
requirements:

Adequate
size and construction to transport victim

Must be
SAFE to transport

Must fit on
gurney

All
materials are legal (wood, metal, rope, blanket, shirt,
etc.)

Gurney
requirements:
-
Must be
between 3-4 feet tall (no less than 3’ no more than 4’)
-
Must be 6’
long by 3’ wide
-
All
materials are legal (wood, metal, rope)

NO MOTORS
no exceptions
-
No actual
hospital gurneys… must be constructed by chapter youth
-
Must have
AT LEAST 4 wheels
-
Must be
able to strap victim down
-
Must have a
wheel lock/ brake system

Race will
consist of:

Victim and
stretcher will begin in the activity field
-
Gurney will
be waiting on the paved road below activity field
-
Medics will
approach victim (located in activity field)
-
Provide
adequate first aid for injuries (in activity field)
-
Place
victim on stretcher (in activity field)
-
Carry
victim to gurney (on paved road below activity field)
-
Push victim
on gurney to “hospital” (to be determined at event,
depending on number of chapters competing)
-
First
chapter back to hospital will be judged on the 4 point areas
upon arrival to hospital.
