2004 Lodge and Committee Goals

Quality Lodge

Cub World
Cub World Amphitheatre
  • At least 80 people attend Dixie

  • E-board meet at least 4 times a year

  • Vigil Committee selected by Spring Fellowship

  • Spirit chairman selected by Beaver Day

  • Increase membership by 5%

  • Increase participation by 5% at each event

  • Participate in the Webelos to scout transition (Webelos Woods)

  • Aid Merit Badge University

  • Donate $1000 to council endowment and name James E. West recipient

  • Achieve Section Honor Lodge

  • Continue helping summer camp with the OA cracker-barrel

 Program

Activities   

  • Have Chapter Ralleys prior to every meal

  • Flag raising and lowering at each event

  • Organize and implement the council wide beaver day event

  • Win Spirit at Dixie

  • Distribute Dixie Spirit items at meeting prior to Dixie

  • Have Chapter Race rules by Beaver Day

  • Participant guide including meal ticket, schedule, training, and activity cells

  • Send out schedule two weeks prior to event, by Elogam if available, if not email

  • Assist in Weblos Woods

 Ceremonies

  • To compete at and win Dixie, both Brotherhood and Pre-Ordeal

  • Compete at NOAC, if they will allow it

  • Recruit two new members

 Cook Team

  • Attend every business meeting

  • Have alternate menu items

  • Have seven active youth participants

  • Schedule work time for team members

  • Have good and nutritious meals

  • New menu ideas

  • Meals to match the theme

  • Menus on the web/Elogam one month in advance

  • Cool team t-shirt

 Dance Team

  • Win Dixie

  • Win NOAC

  • Have twenty dancers at NOAC

  • Have ten new members

  • Dance at CIS and AICA

  • Help at Webelos Woods

  • Participate at Beaver Day Fish Fry

  • Hold at least 2 outside the lodge activities

 Drum Team

  • Compete at Dixie and place

  • Compete at NOAC

  • Use learning tapes to improve

  • Make custom shirts and jeans

  • Make individual drum sticks

  • Participate at CIS

  • Drum at summer camp, camporees, and OA events.

 Service

  • Continue Adopt a highway

  • Have at least two events to work on the amphitheater (campfire ring)

  • Continue food drive

  • Promote chapters participation at day of service

  • Webelos Woods (Campfire)

  • Youth training leadership training sponsored by the lodge

 Camp Promotions

  • Assist with Scoutmaster Dinner

  • Camp Promotion teams in each chapter by SM dinner

  • Have Where to Go Camping Guide published by Scoutmaster Dinner

  • Create a Camp Promotions Display

  • Compete at Dixie

  • Continue to have a participation award for summer camp

 Unit Elections

  • Revise Unit Elections packet for Scoutmaster Dinner

  • Contact every scout called out before the next Ordeal

  • Try to get 80 candidate through Ordeal

  • At least one new member from every unit in the council

 Membership Development

  • Follow-up postcards promoting brotherhood sent to each candidate

  • 30 percent brotherhood conversion

  • Bring meals to candidates

  • Get elangomats and nimats before ordeals and make sure they are trained

  • Vigil reunion and rededication ceremony

  • Complete plan books by first ordeal

  • Compete at Dixie

  • 100 brothers at Ordeals and 150 at Fellowships and Winter Banquet

  • Implement a Brotherhood Participation award

  • Make brothers feel good about accomplishments through recognition at all times

  • Elangomat and Nimat patches and shirts

  • Promote brotherhood conversion at Summer Camp

 Training

  • Win Dixie!

  • At least 9 training sessions at Fall Fellowship and Spring Fellowship (18 total)

  • Have a training representative for each chapter

  • Have a committee of five people that communicate

  • Help lodge meet mission and goals

  • Have training plan and trainers contacted at least one month prior to events

Communications

  • Publish 5 Elogams

  • Place at Dixie
