Lodge Events

Our lodge has many activities during the year. Some are regular events of our own lodge, such as Ordeals. Others are at the Section, Region, or National level. Below is a short introduction to these events. Coming to Events is essential to your involvement and the Lodges success.

Winter Banquet: Held annually the first Saturday in January. Here we meet, review the past year, recognize our past achievements and reveal the next years spirit theme.

Carolinas' Indian Seminar: Hosted by our Lodge in late January for OA Lodges and Indian enthusiasts all over the nation. This is by far the best time for you to develop your Indian Lore skills.

Beaver Day: This is a camp work day usually held in March. Normally we work on repairing parts of camp to assure that it is ready for Summer Camp.

Spring Fellowship: Held annually in the spring to promote fun and fellowship between Chapters. A Brotherhood ceremony is also conducted.

Dixie Fellowship: This is the name of the Southern Region Section 5 Conclave in which our section’s 10 lodges get together for competition, fellowship and the election of Section Officers. Each lodge hosts this event at their camp on a rotational basis. Our lodge served as host in 1987 for Section 7 and in 1998 and 2009 for Section 5.

Ordeals/Brotherhoods: These are scheduled during the months of May, June, and August. Lodge officers are elected at the June Ordeal.

Fall Fellowship: This is an important event for our lodge. We conduct the annual patch auction, the Vigil ceremony, and install lodge officers. This event is held in the early fall.

Lodge Officers’ Training (LLD): This is held in the late fall of each year in order to help train and advise the incoming lodge and chapter officers as well as to set goals for the coming year.

National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC): These are national meetings which are held every two years. All sorts of great activities, competitions, and training opportunities are available.

National Indian Seminars: National events with extensive training in Indian affairs.
